Even though I LOVE San Diego, I miss the new friends I left behind in the bay! One of my favorite adventures with some of the girls was our little jaunt out to Half Moon Bay to go whale watching! Gina, Jamie, Jamie and I (yes two Jamies) bought our tickets in advance, bought skipper hats, and we were super excited to go out on this adventure. We took Dramamine, and had a carload of mimosas ready to go out on the boat.
Once we arrived at the pier, we got out our goods and started pouring our mimosas in our togo cups. We screwed the lids on tight and put our straws in the delicious mimosa and then, they began to explode everywhere! In Jamie's car, on the sidewalk, on our clothes, even on the car next to us! Oh well, we still had another bottle :)
So we headed down the pier and soon were told our whale watching adventure would not be happening. We were devastated! It was a beautiful day outside! We were told the seas were too rough that day and if we called within the next two weeks we would receive a refund. Bummer.
So, we decided to make a day out it! We went to a local brewery, got some yummy food and hydrating brewskies and proceeded to have a wonderful day! We even stopped at a winery on the way home for some tastings...that was good wine.
I miss those girls! We had some great times!
